What AI does Geppetto use?
Geppetto uses OpenAI's GPT-3.5 model. In the future we hope to support more models.

Is this the same as the official ChatGPT for Slack?
No, we're an independent outfit. We're not affiliated with nor backed by either Salesforce (Slack) or OpenAI (ChatGPT).
Does every user need to install the app in Slack?
No, only the workspace admin needs to install the app, and invite Geppetto to the channels you want it to be available in. Anyone can then @mention or DM it.
Can I trust Geppetto?
All current AIs can suffer from hallucination and may get creative with the truth, Geppetto included. It is recommended to verify the facts Geppetto gives you before relying on them.
Are there usage limits?
Yes, depending on the plan (500, 1000 or 5000 messages per month). This is per Slack workspace or Discord server, and counting only the messages Geppetto replies with) per month.
Does Geppetto store the conversations?
No. Geppetto only retrieves the conversations it was mentioned in (or DMed) to ask the GPT model for answer. No messages are stored.
Do you send our data to third parties?
Messages in threads explicitly mentioning Geppetto and direct messages with Geppetto are shared with OpenAI so their API can generate the responses. This data may be stored up to 30 days for abuse and misuse monitoring purposes (as outlined in OpenAI API data usage policies). The data will NOT be used to train or improve the AI models.
